Healthcare Authorization Specialist I - MPF Central Authorizations

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Healthcare Authorization Specialist I is responsible for ensuring that insurance benefits are verified, patient responsibility estimates are calculated and communicated to the patient and/or family, and authorization is secured timely for all assigned service types. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

H.S Diploma, GED, or Equivalent 1 Year of Healthcare Authorization Experience or 2 years of Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree Experience with Epic or other EMR Systems Bilingual English/Spanish and/or other languages that meet business needs of the department The current salary range for this position is $22.00 to $30.27 Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
