Job Description

Description Intake Specialists have first-level interaction with new clients, and are responsible for gathering personal, medical and legal history and presenting this information to practice group leaders to determine the suitability of legal services. The successful candidate must be a team player with a friendly, positive, "client first" attitude.
Responsibilities:
Act as a first point of contact, answering calls with empathy and professionalism Conduct initial assessments to record medical and legal history, and identify specific client needs Collect client documents and comply with regulatory standards (i.e, HIPAA) Coordinate with staff, attorneys and clients to schedule initial meetings Accurately record and maintain data in the firm's electronic lead management and case management systems Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing Ability to maintain a professional, helpful, friendly, client-first attitude in a fast-paced environment Ability to think quickly while interviewing potential clients to gather sufficient, relevant information to assess the potential claim Solid organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills Strong analytic and problem-solving skills Strong focus on detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in a claims or customer service center, call center, sales or telemarketing environment Previous law firm or medical office customer service experience is a plus English / Spanish bilingual fluency is a plus
