Insurance Collector

Description The insurance collector is responsible for monitoring accounts to determine timeliness of payment/collection. This position closely works with the CO Billing team and Collections Supervisor. This role will have someone monitor and resolve EDI dashboard for claim kick-out edits, Manage A/R thru system module and reports, resubmit appeal and follow up on unpaid/incorrectly processed claims, answer inbound calls for insurance specific inquiries, collect on insurance carrier accounts, assist with process improvement to bring about greater claims resolution, ensure the quality and integrity of work on assigned tasked. The insurance collector will file claims and assure the insurance companies pay what they owe. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
