88 Hourly Earn a $500 referral bonus once your referral completes 90 billable days. Responsibilities The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position are included in but not limited to the information listed below: Receive and evaluate Medical Only claims to determine compensability: recommend denials and refer to supervisor for concurrence. Establish and maintain contact with insured, claimant, or other interested parties as necessary to obtain all required information. Obtain all medical records, report, and notes.

Receive medical bills for claims:

review to ensure consistency with existing claim information. Utilize knowledge of applicable guidelines and regulations to determine whether bills are eligible for payment or reimbursement. Document and process disbursements.

Investigate questionable or excessive charges:

refer unresolved issues to supervisor. Receive, research and respond to any inquiries from claimant, insured, physicians, or others on claims. Explain procedures and policies; refer other issues to supervisor. Receive reports from insureds of all exposure claims. Evaluate, investigate, and document these claims. Create, maintain, and update complete files on each case. Close files on a timely basis. Retrieve, review, and assemble file material as requested. Maintain updated knowledge of applicable workers' compensation laws and procedures. Perform other related functions as directed. Ready to take the next step?
