The salary range for this role is $60,000-$100,000 This is a 100% in office position
Key Responsibilities:
Support attorneys on complex commercial transactions, including mixed-finance, nonprofit, and affordable housing deals Underwrite purchase, refinance, leasehold, and construction transactions by reviewing title, survey, and zoning data Prepare and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in compliance with underwriting standards Clear title exceptions, resolve curative issues, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep deals on track Manage file documentation, reporting, and billing metrics Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, attorneys, and title partners Support compliance through audits, AR tracking, and adherence to regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
2-4 years of commercial title underwriting experience (DC, MD, VA, or TN preferred) Strong knowledge of title insurance practices, escrow, ALTA standards, and legal documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office and title/escrow software (e.g., SoftPro Select, Rynoh) Underwriter license(s) preferred Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
