Job Description:
Are you a Medical Insurance Collector looking for a new career? Our client is located in Tarpon Springs, and is seeking a Medical Insurance Collection Specialist to join their team. In this position you will be responsible for following up on claims from billing to final resolution; verifying claims status with insurance agencies; reviewing and preparing claims for electronic and hard copy billing resubmission; denial and appeal management on all payers; identifying and correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to insurance carriers; providing review and remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments; and acting cooperatively and courteously with patients, visitors, co•workers, and management.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills Must be capable of prioritizing work load, multi-tasking and demonstrating attention to detail Must maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality at all times Minimum of 2 years experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims from commercial, government, or private insurances Ability to read and understand EOB's Claim Adjustment Reason Codes Ability to identify, track, and report payer denial trends to management Knowledge of ICD•and CPT codes and Payer medical policies Experience in Accounts Receivables for commercial, government, and managed care accounts Experience in outpatient and / or hospital billing and collections/ facility billing Proficiency in MS Office•Excel skills are a must The ability to work independently or within a team Experience in NextGen is preferred but not required This position does offers the following benefits; Medical Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO and Holiday pay Opportunity to grow and build a career with a longstanding, reputable organization Career advancement opportunities
Pay Rate:
$22•$24/
