Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Insurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as familiarity with HIPAA regulations. The Insurance Specialist will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate the claims process and resolve any discrepancies. Duties Review and process insurance claims for accuracy and completeness. Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding claim status and necessary documentation. Utilize medical coding ( ICD-10) to ensure proper billing practices. Maintain organized medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in resolving claim denials by providing necessary information or documentation. Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, medical terminology, and coding practices. Collaborate with ECW offices when applicable to manage insurance claims. Experience Proven experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical records management and coding practices is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology is required to effectively communicate within the healthcare environment. Experience working with ICD-10 coding systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE WITH E-CLINICAL WORKS STRONGLY PREFERRED
