Triage & Prescription Prior Authorization Specialist - Iowa Dermatology Clinic 3rd Floor

Are you passionate about providing patient service through quality and convenient care? Iowa Dermatology Clinic (IDC) and RC Dermatology Clinic (RCD) is looking for talented individuals to join our amazing team! IDC/RCD is hiring a Triage & Prescription Prior Authorization Specialist located at our Iowa Dermatology - 3rd Floor clinic . Duties include but are not limited to: Manage prescription prior authorizations from start to finish using platforms such as CoverMyMeds and Tandem. Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding medication approvals, denials, and appeals. Assist providers with refill requests and medication-related documentation. Respond to patient questions and phone calls in a professional and timely manner. Coordinate and communicate updates on prior authorization status and outcomes. Maintain and manage biologic list of patients. Assist with surgery scheduling and other clinical coordination tasks as needed. Accurately document all communications and updates within the electronic health record (EHR). Other duties as assigned or as directed by a provider.
