Job Description

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Courses in medical terminology and medical coding are preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
N/A Experience:
Experience in customer relations is preferred. Must be able to use office equipment.
Mental/Physical Effort:
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Work performed requires a high degree of concentration and attention to accuracy and detail. Requires the ability to handle pressure and frequent interruptions. Courtesy and tact are required in dealing with patients, family members and hospital personnel. Must possess the ability to get along well and work with many different types of people, sometimes in difficult situations. Must be able to deal with situations which necessitate occasional independent decisions, and also to handle public contact in a manner that reflects credibility to the hospital. Must maintain a positive attitude. Requires prolonged standing or sitting, frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Normal or corrected vision range with the absence of color‑blindness and hearing to normal range is required.
