Prior Authorization Specialist

## Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our growing Orthopedic Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for surgical procedures and providing exceptional customer service. ## Duties

• Professional and courteous customer service
• Accuracy of patient data
• Detail oriented and ability to multi task
• Verify insurance is active
• Obtain authorizations
• Appeal/edit authorizations when needed for billing department
• Mail out surgery benefit letters
• Collect and track surgery deposits ## Experience
• Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
