Medical Biller/Claims Research/Customer Service Representative

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10 . This role is crucial in providing exceptional service to our clients while ensuring accurate handling of medical records, billing, and collections. Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries regarding medical records, billing, and coding with professionalism and clarity. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to assist clients effectively. Process and manage medical billing and collections in compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions within our systems. Collaborate with the medical office team to resolve issues related to patient accounts. Provide support in navigating our coding systems, including ICD-10 ensuring accuracy in all documentation. Assist in training new staff on customer service protocols and systems as needed. Various other duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a medical office or healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical records management, medical billing, and coding practices is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to patient care and billing processes. Proficiency in using various computer systems for data entry and record keeping. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
