Job Summary The Claims Assistant is responsible for processing incoming claims from DPS and MyPCS move, ensuring proper setup in the appropriate ERP, and then assigning new claims to the adjusters based on standing management direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receives settlement and vendor payments Ensures all settlement documents are in good order Records payments and prepares for mailing Helps management by reviewing claim notes on open/closed claims to ensure follow-ups are being pursued; communicates to adjusters as needed Monitors and manages the shared claims email box Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Demonstrates and live out positive, respectful and engaged behavior toward coworkers, customers, vendors and our Company on a daily basis Keeps accurate records of time worked and submits timesheets at appropriate times Adheres to all Company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Works scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance, adhering to department schedule Works weekends and evenings, including more than 8 hours a day when the needs of the business demand Performs various special projects and other duties as assigned Required High School Diploma/GED Microsoft Office Suite experience Preferred Knowledge of the logistics industry Associates degree in a business-related field Cartwright Companies provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
