Job Description:
United Safety & Claims is a premier third-party administrator for workers' compensation. We have been in business for over 35 years. We are looking for an individual who is seeking long term, full-time employment. US&C pays 100% of the employee's medical, dental, vision and life insurance premium after a probationary period. Employee paid benefits such as AFLAC , 401K, Liberty National and Flexible Spending are also offered. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Highlights of this position include:
Manage medical only claims from open to close, including authorization and declining of requested medical treatment. Contact employer to verify injury. Setting and maintaining reserves. Upon receipt of medical bill, verifying all medical records are received. Pay authorized medical treatment within 45 days of receipt by correctly applying appropriate fee schedule. Data entry of medical records and critical activity in the claims system. Contact medical providers to schedule appointments, testing, acquire medical records, billing, etc. Effectively communicate payment status of medical billing to providers. Pay mileage to claimants in a timely manner. Monitor client claims account and request funding when needed. Filing of claim documents and forms. Communicate and work as a team member with the claims examiner, client and claims department. This individual should possess the following skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills High volume data entry Good analytical skills Attention to detail Good organizational skills Ability to prioritize Strong computer skills Medical terminology Medical billing experience Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook Should be able to lift up to 20 pounds Must be able to pass background check. Pay is commensurate with experience.
