Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HRA Claims Processor to join our healthcare administration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing health reimbursement account (HRA) claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with insurance policies and medical coding standards. This role requires strong clerical skills, familiarity with medical documentation, and the ability to verify insurance information to facilitate smooth claims processing and reimbursement procedures. Responsibilities Review and process HRA claims in accordance with established guidelines and policies Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Workers' Compensation laws Ensure accurate coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG codes for medical procedures and diagnoses Maintain detailed medical documentation and records for each claim processed Perform insurance verification to confirm patient eligibility and coverage details File claims electronically using medical billing software and financial software systems Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify or obtain additional medical records or documentation as needed Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to medical coding, billing, and insurance processing Organize and file claims documentation systematically for audit readiness Keep up-to-date with changes in medical coding standards and insurance regulations Experience Prior clerical experience in healthcare or insurance processing preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, CPT coding, HCPCS, DRG classifications, and Workers' Compensation law highly desirable Experience with medical billing software and financial software applications is a plus Familiarity with Medicare regulations and medical records management is advantageous Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple claims efficiently Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate claim processing and coding accuracy This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient healthcare reimbursement processes while working in a professional environment that values accuracy and compliance.
