Job Description
Professional Summary This role provides high‑quality customer support to health plan members, providers, and other stakeholders by resolving inquiries and complaints related to medical coverage, claims, eligibility, and healthcare services. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems in a fast‑paced, regulated call center environment. The ideal candidate has prior high‑volume call center experience, preferably in healthcare or insurance, and is comfortable working remotely while meeting strict performance, compliance, and confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities Resolve member, provider, and stakeholder inquiries and complaints via phone, written correspondence, and in‑person interactions when required. Provide accurate information regarding medical coverage, claims processing, referrals, eligibility, billing, and health plan benefits. Address delivery system concerns, including appointment access, physician selection, medical center service issues, and fee or billing inquiries. Utilize dual monitors and Microsoft Windows-based applications to efficiently access, document, and manage member information across multiple systems. Troubleshoot and de‑escalate complex or sensitive member concerns while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Ensure all interactions and documentation meet regulatory, compliance, and privacy standards within a healthcare or insurance environment. Communicate effectively with internal departments, providers, employer groups, brokers, attorneys, and other external representatives to resolve issues. Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills to identify root causes and deliver timely, accurate resolutions. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (highest degree must be verifiable). Minimum of 1 year of high‑volume call center experience. Prior experience working from home in a call center environment. Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, insurance, banking, credit, or similar. Ability to complete required interview assessments and customer service testing.
