Job Description

This position is responsible for reviewing and processing assigned auto claims by evaluating liability, determining whether to issue payments or deny claims, and providing customer service to the Pool's Members and the community. The position involves handling a variety of tasks related to auto claims and ensuring timely and accurate claim resolution. Required Responsibilities• Ensures accurate decisions are made regarding claim handling, including settlement or denial, and confirms proper claim setup. Handles Member vehicle total loss evaluations, settlements, and salvage recoveries. Maintains regular communication with members and claimants, engaging in frequent phone interactions with all involved parties. Assists Auto Adjusters in obtaining letters of guarantee from lien holders. Coordinates rental vehicles for claimants, ensuring timely repair completion and rental vehicle return. Reviews and approves invoices from independent adjusters. Handles fixed property claims, determining whether to settle or deny claims. Supports the handling of GAP coverage claims related to workers' compensation claims. • The above responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job. This position does not have indirect reports. Travel Requirements None Physical Requirements Be able to withstand typical office work that includes periods of sitting, standing, typing, etc. indoors while potentially performing job tasks in close proximity to other people. In addition to typical office work, must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, visual inspection, assembly of parts, or extensive reading. Must be able to operate standard computer hardware.
