Job Description:
Welling Young is partnering with our long-term client who is a claims administrator responsible for multiple claims programs to include commercial auto, general liability, construction, self-defense, and red flag law claims. This position will handle claims within each program's expectations and focus on the best possible claim outcomes. We are looking for a decisive person with excellent communication skills and potential to grow with us. We also are looking for recent college graduates with a background in Finance, Business, Risk Management Insurance degree, or some claim experience
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing administrative support for the claims operatio n. Primary Job Duties & Responsibiliti es:

Courteously and promptly answer calls from insureds, claimants, agents, and any other parti es.
  • Assist in providing and gathering necessary information in a timely mann er.
  • Accurately enter notice of loss information into the claim system and assign claims to the appropriate adjust er.
  • Identify claims that require immediate attention and escalate to the appropriate resour ce.
  • Confirm receipt of claims and send acknowledgement lette rs.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with insureds, customers, carriers, and co-workers to achieve optimal outcom es.
  • Communicate and collaborate with adjusters to provide claims suppo rt.
  • Research, obtain, and document claim information to ensure the level of service provided our customers meets/exceeds service level agreemen ts.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and accurately document discussions in electronic claim fi le.
  • Process financial transactions to include loss and expense payments, stop payments, voids and re-issuance of paymen ts.
  • Maintain claim files to include closings, transfers, claim file audit pulls, e tc.
  • Process letters, and any related claim forms and corresponden ce.
  • Assist with special projects as required/request ed.
  • Demonstrate a technical proficiency with all computer systems necessary for the efficient management of daily tas ks.
  • Document all activity on any claim in the electronic claim syst em.
  • Create and distribute reports as need ed.
  • Mail distribution and processi ng.
  • Other administrative duties as assign ed.

  • Proficient in Excel and Word Minimum Qualifica tions
  • High School Degree or GED required with a minimum of 2 years work experience prefe rred.
  • Experience utilizing computer technology; such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Web-en abledapplications, and database soft ware.
  • Ability to accurately compute a variety of numerical calculations requ ired.
Education, Work Experience, & Kno wledgeUniversity/College degree or equivalent in business experience pref erred.

Entry level knowledge and skill in claims pref erred.

Basic working level knowledge and skill in various business line pro ducts.

Strong negotiation and customer service s kills.

Able to make independent decisions on most assigned cases without involvement of super visor.

Openness to the ideas and expertise of others and willingness to solicit input and share ideas.

Entry level understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO Forms is preferred but not req uired.

Demonstrated coaching, influence, and persuasion s kills.

Advanced written and verbal communication s kills.

Ability to adapt to and support cultural c hange.

Strong technology aptitude - ability to use business technology tools to effectively research, track, and communicate inform ation.

Excellent reading, speaking, and writing of the ENGLISH lan guage.
