About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking an experienced Physician A/R Collector to support a high-volume physician revenue cycle team. This role focuses on resolving insurance claims, managing denials, and ensuring accurate reimbursement for physician services. This position is ideal for a collector who understands the full claims lifecycle and is comfortable working within a fast-paced physician billing environment.
Job Description:
The Physician A/R Collector will manage insurance follow-up and denial resolution for physician claims. The role involves reviewing outstanding accounts, communicating with payers, and working claims through to final resolution while maintaining detailed documentation. Candidates must have strong knowledge of the claims process and the ability to work through high-volume account queues.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow up on outstanding physician insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement. Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies. Work assigned accounts by aging priority and claim value . Investigate payer responses and determine appropriate next steps for resolution. Communicate with insurance payers to clarify claim status and obtain updates. Submit corrected claims or appeals when appropriate. Maintain detailed account notes and documentation within the system. Work from assigned spreadsheets or worklists to manage account follow-up. Collaborate with internal billing teams to resolve claim issues.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of medical insurance collections or AR follow-up experience required. Strong understanding of the full insurance claims lifecycle . Experience resolving denials and payment discrepancies. Knowledge of multiple insurance payers and claim follow-up processes. Physician billing experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to manage high-volume workloads and productivity expectations.
