Competitive pay Robust insurance package: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability, accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness coverage. 401(k) Plan Paid Time Off + paid holidays As an Insurance Coordinator you will: Assist patients with insurance benefits Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims Works with insurance companies to resolve financial challenges Maintains a healthy aging accounts receivable.
Medical Billing & Claim Follow-up Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies. Ensure the patient's medical information is accurate and up to date. Prepare bills and invoices, and document amounts due to medical procedures and services. Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations. Monitor and record late payments. Follow-up on missed payments and resolve financial discrepancies. Investigate and appeal denied claims. Maintain billing software by updating rate change, cash spreadsheets, and current collection reports. A minimum of 1 years' experience as a medical biller or similar role. Recommended 1 year of claim follow-up and appeal experience is preferred. Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities. We are looking for a candidate with experience in insurance verification to join a high performing Insurance Department. Knowledge of Medicaid, Commercial insurance and HCFA claims handling is preferred. Must have working knowledge of Medisoft, Claim MD and Availity.
