Prior Authorization / Insurance Specialist

We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist / Insurance Specialist to join our collaborative home-health team in downtown Rock Springs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, works well in a team, has the ability to multitask, and thrives in a fast paced environment. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Handle phone inquires using a multi-line phone system, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist with clerical duties including filing, typing, and data entry. Maintain and organize medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process patient intake forms and update electronic health records as necessary. Support billing processed by preparing necessary documentation for claims submission. Perform insurance verification and assist with medical billing processes. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient office operations.

Skills &/or Requirements:

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Insurance Specialist within a medical office or clinic setting is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is preferred. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Demonstrate ability to provide outstanding customer service and support to patients. Strong organizational skills with attention to details. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
