Job Description

Job Summary As a Property Insurance Sales Representative, you are the bridge between unexpected disasters and peace of mind. Your primary mission is to evaluate the needs of homeowners, renters, and business owners to provide tailored insurance solutions that protect their most valuable assets. This role requires a blend of empathy, technical knowledge, and a hunter's mentality for business development.
Key Responsibilities Business Development:
Proactively identify and reach out to prospective clients through cold calling, networking, and following up on provided leads.
Needs Assessment:
Conduct thorough interviews with clients to understand their property risks and financial goals.
Policy Customization:
Design and present insurance packages—covering fire, theft, liability, and natural disasters—that meet specific client needs.
Relationship Management:
Maintain a high level of client retention by conducting annual policy reviews and providing exceptional ongoing service.
Claims Support:
Act as a liaison between the client and the claims department to ensure a smooth, supportive experience during stressful events.
Market Awareness:
Stay up-to-date with local real estate trends, building costs, and changes in state insurance regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license (or willingness to obtain one). Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to explain complex legal jargon in plain English. Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and insurance rating engines. A "thick skin" for handling rejection and the drive to meet monthly sales quotas.
