Job Description:
Position Summary The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for supporting the servicing and management of commercial insurance accounts. This role requires independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with producers, account executives, and clients to deliver exceptional service and maintain high client retention. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality client deliverables Partner with Account Executives and Producers to manage both new and existing client relationships Evaluate existing insurance coverage and recommend enhancements or changes based on client needs Coordinate renewal processes, including gathering data, preparing submissions, and tracking timelines to ensure on-time completion Compile and manage information related to renewals, cross-selling opportunities, and account rounding strategies Prepare and review proposals, binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documentation for accuracy Submit applications to carriers and follow up to secure quotes, policies, and required documentation in alignment with deadlines Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within agency management systems (e.g., EPIC) and ensure all documentation is properly filed Coordinate and participate in client meetings, including renewal and strategy discussions Monitor assigned accounts and proactively address service needs or issues Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and service standards Provide technical and administrative support to senior team members as needed Mentor and guide junior team members or associates, and assist with workflow coordination Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned Qualifications Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required Prior experience in commercial insurance Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage analysis, and risk management concepts Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, TAM) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Key Competencies Client-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Analytical thinking and decision-making ability Professional communication and relationship-building skills Work Environment & Expectations Hybrid collaboration with internal teams and external clients Participation in client meetings and renewal strategy sessions Commitment to achieving service delivery goals and maintaining high retention
