Fortuity provides customer service and sales support for corporate clients through engaged and professional teams of experienced agents.
Summary:
Licensed Life & Health Insurance Agents will assist in the enrollment and sales of life, health, and/or disability insurance to clients, and will provide additional follow-up service and support as needed according to changing insurance needs.
Pay:
$20-22/hr with incentive opportunities from $4-6/hr
Location:
775 West Broad, Columbus (Free parking + on a major COTA bus route)
Assignment:
Full Time, Seasonal Non-Exempt (August-December)
Responsibilities:
Interact with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services Document all customer interactions in designated systems accurate Consult clients and prospective clients to assess insurance needs, budget, financial planning goals, and other relevant details Safeguarding non-public personal information (NPI) and always maintaining strict confidentiality Provides rate quotes and coverage recommendations; assists with long-term planning. Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services Assist with completion of application and other necessary paperwork; obtain underwriting approval when needed Deliver policy and plan documents Field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative's knowledge, escalate to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to assess financial, family, and other changes that may warrant modification of coverage Facilitate distributions to beneficiaries as directed on the death of the policyholder. Comply with all insurance regulations, security protocols, and workplace policies Perform other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred Customer service experience required Some sales experience, particularly in insurance, highly preferred State insurance licensure required
Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening Service-oriented and able to resolve customer concerns Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software and operate multiple screens Thorough understanding of life insurance as an aspect of financial planning. Ability to clearly explain complex insurance policies and packages. Excellent emotional intelligence to provide comfort to beneficiaries after the death of a loved one
Additional Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Flexibility to work adjusted shifts, as necessary.
