Associate Agent

About Us:
Farmers Insurance is recruiting an Associate Agent to serve the Montgomery area. This hybrid role combines local, community-facing responsibilities in Montgomery with district-led training and mentorship based in Mobile. Our established training system, potential licensing sponsorship, and structured development programs prepare motivated candidates for progressive career opportunities, including a pathway to agency ownership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support clients with Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial insurance products by recommending appropriate coverage and explaining policy details. Develop and grow a book of business through networking, referrals, community outreach, and local relationship building across the Montgomery area. Participate in and complete district training programs, University of Farmers® coursework, and in-office workshops; engage with assigned mentors from the district and agency. Provide ongoing customer service, assist clients with policy maintenance and endorsements, and support the claims process as needed. Maintain accurate client records and use district systems to track activity, opportunities, and progress toward sales and retention targets. Represent the agency professionally at community and networking events to enhance visibility and generate leads.
Requirements:
Willingness to obtain required Alabama insurance licenses (Property & Casualty and Life/Health). Licensing sponsorship may be available. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Customer service or sales experience preferred but not required; coachable, motivated candidates seeking a sales and service career are encouraged to apply.
