As a Licensed Only Agent you are an employee of ClearBenefits Group LLC and not a 1099 Independent Agent. Your Contracts with the Insurance Companies that we represent are as a Licensed Only Agent for ClearBenefits Group. All insurance written falls under the agency ownership and all compensation on written business is paid to the ClearBenefits Group Agency and we pay you. All customers that you write insurance products for are owned by ClearBenefits Group and not the Licensed Agent. Should you leave the company the customers, insurance policies written and commissions all stay with ClearBenefits Group. A non-compete and non-disclosure agreement is required with this position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, growth driven Health & Life Insurance Agent with a positive attitude, high energy, excellent phone, computer and people skills Work Environment / Policies  This is a hybrid in-office position in our Durham, NC office with some local travel for outside sales and marketing calls  Business Casual Attire is required. Tailored Slacks, Blouses, Collared Shirts, Sweaters, Dresses and Blazers, Company Logo Shirts are acceptable, paired with dress shoes, flats, loafers, or low heels. Friday only exception for tailored/form fitting jeans as bottom wear. Unacceptable work attire includes baggy jeans, sweatshirts/pants, non-form fitting clothing and sneakers.  Work hours: 9 a.m.
  • 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday / 8 a.m.
  • 12 p.m. Friday (Feb-Aug) 8 a.m.
  • 4 p.m. OR 9 a.m.
  • 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (Sept-Jan). You may elect to take calls after normal business hours and on Saturdays if they would like to earn extra compensation

Key Responsibilities:
1. You will be responsible for managing an existing ACA Book of business of 500 existing Health Insurance Customers. Your role will be to develop a relationship with these customers as their point of contact for their Health Insurance Service needs during the balance of 2026. You will be responsible for all customer service questions this group of customers has. 2. You will also be responsible to cross market and sell other insurance plans to these customers, as needed (Dental, Vision, Short Term Health, Supplemental Health, Short Term and Long Term Disability, seeking referrals to other customers and Google Reviews. These cross marketing and sales endeavors shall include but not be limited to: Outbound Calls to existing book of business customers on new products and services, "financial review" appointments to carefully review and make recommendations on their current and missing insurance coverage
  • filling in the gaps.
Preparing, scheduling and conducting webinars (minimum one every two months) on products and services and/or self help tools with existing insurance coverage 3. In addition to servicing your assigned "Book of Customers" you will also field phone calls and emails from "new' customers and quote and enroll them as well. You will then repeat the service and cross selling responsibilities with these customers as well 4. You are also responsible to service and grow our Group Ancillary Product Payroll Deduction or Employer Paid Benefits with Humana and/other Vendors for our small business accounts. This means familiarizing yourself with the product and plan details, soliciting appointments with small groups via phone, email, in person, running appointments in person or virtual, quoting the products, and facilitating the enrollment of the group. 5. Starting in September you will be responsible for the Open Enrollment Communications and Renewal Quoting for these customers. In November
  • December you will be responsible for enrolling these customers and providing enrollment confirmations and payment assistance etc.
Required Qualifications:
Licensing:
An active NC, SC, and VA Accident and Health Insurance License are required. FFM Certification is required.
NO LESS THAN 2 FULL YEARS ACA SALES EXPERIENCE VIA HEALTHSHERPA ENROLLMENT PLATFORM REQUIRED. A
background check and criminal record search will be performed. Post hiring, all contracting expenses and Continuing Education Licensing costs will be paid by ClearBenefits Group LLC. Non resident state reciprocal license fees will be paid by ClearBenefits Group as required).
Key Responsibilities:
 Sell and Generate New Business  Preserve the Existing Book of Business  Oversee the timely processing of insurance applications, marketplace data matching issues, customer premium payments, etc.  Oversee your assigned customers and manage all of their data in our CRM Database  Professionally handle customer inquiries and service needs.  Cross sell complimentary products to existing customers  Become fully proficient with all insurance products, quoting software, customer communication and enrollment processes  Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.  Manage contracting and licensing requirements and continuing education needs
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation Base:
Base Salary of $35,000/yr. Compensation will be as a W2 Employee with bi-weekly pay periods every other Friday.
Commission:
Market Competitive First Year, Renewal, and Retention Bonus on ACA Health Insurance Sales. Market Competitive First Year and Renewal Commission on Group Insurance and Ancillary Sales. Commission percentages shared in writing after first interview upon completion of a Non Disclosure Agreement  Commission is paid "As Earned" Monthly on the 2nd BiWkly Pay Cycle of each month  Annual Review for Commission Percentage Increase on all lines above based on productivity  Lunch /
Breaks:
A 45 minute paid lunch break may be taken per 8 hour work day. Other short breaks as needed. 
Holidays:
The office will be considered closed on Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. These are PAID holiday days.  Vacation Days / Sick Days
  • After 180
Days of Employment:
5 days of paid vacation days in first year of employment and 1 paid sick/personal day per quarter. Leave beyond these parameters will be considered unpaid leave.  Licensing, Certification and Insurance Education Costs
  • All costs are paid by ClearBenefits Group LLC  Additional Commissioned Compensation
