Job Title:
Insurance Agent Job Description This role offers a salaried, non-commission opportunity for an Insurance Agent to join a high-volume inbound call center focused on serving existing and prospective policyholders. You will sell new insurance policies without any cold calling, while providing clear, empathetic guidance to customers as they navigate their coverage options. The position is ideal for someone who combines strong customer service skills with initiative, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others. You will work in a supportive, growth-oriented environment where success is shared, feedback is encouraged, and team members celebrate wins together. Responsibilities + Handle a high volume of inbound calls from prospective and current policyholders in a professional and courteous manner. + Sell new insurance policies exclusively through inbound calls, with no cold calling required. + Assist customers in understanding their insurance coverage options by simplifying complex information and explaining products clearly and accurately. + Provide excellent customer service to current policyholders by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues related to their policies. + Use solid computer and multi-tasking skills to navigate multiple systems and tools while actively engaging with customers on the phone. + Document customer interactions and updates in the appropriate systems with accuracy and attention to detail. + Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure customers feel informed, supported, and valued. + Work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment while meeting performance and quality expectations. + Participate actively in training, coaching, and feedback sessions to continuously improve product knowledge, communication skills, and overall performance. + Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, support one another, and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented team culture. + Uphold all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to insurance sales and customer service. Essential Skills + Property & Casualty insurance license strongly preferred. + A minimum of two years of relevant work experience or a minimum of two years of post-secondary education. + Previous insurance experience, preferably with exposure to carriers or environments such as BCBS, transportation-related insurance, or major insurance providers (for example, auto, life, or health insurance). + Licensed insurance agent experience is highly valued; candidates with any existing insurance license are strongly encouraged to apply. Work Environment This position is offered as a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role based on performance. The role follows a hybrid work structure. Training is 100% in-office to provide hands-on support and ensure a strong foundation in systems, products, and processes. After approximately two to three months, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
