About Virtue Insurance Virtue Insurance is an independent health insurance agency based in Edina, Minnesota, specializing in Medicare, individual health insurance, and related insurance products. We help clients compare options, understand their coverage, and make informed decisions with confidence. Our business is built on trust, education, and long-term relationships. The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the agency owner in a combined sales and service role. You'll help support an established client base, build new relationships through referrals and community outreach, and develop and health insurance products. You'll receive hands-on training, meaningful responsibility from day one, and the opportunity to become a trusted advisor within a growing independent agency. Responsibilities Educate clients on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plan options Assist clients during AEP, OEP, and SEP enrollment periods Conduct policy reviews and ongoing client service Build relationships that generate referrals and long-term client loyalty Participate in community outreach events, educational seminars, health fairs, and marketing activities Sell and service Medicare, health, life, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance products Maintain accurate records using Medicare Pro and Microsoft Office tools Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and carrier requirements
Qualifications:
Required Active Minnesota Health & Life Insurance License AHIP certification (current or willing to obtain before start) Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work primarily in-office in Edina during training and peak enrollment seasons Preferred Experience with Medicare plans and ACA Existing carrier appointments Experience with ACA and individual health insurance products Community outreach or seminar experience Compensation & Schedule Base salary plus commission structure and peak season stipend Performance-based incentives and bonus opportunities Additional incentives during maternity leave coverage and peak enrollment periods This is a W-2 position. Traditional employer-sponsored benefits are not currently offered. Instead, we provide direct mentorship, true carrier independence, meaningful autonomy, hybrid flexibility outside peak seasons, and significant long-term growth opportunities within the agency.
