Job Description

C.T. Lowndes & Company is looking for an experienced account manager to jump right in and provide outstanding service to our growing book of commercial insurance clients. Must have an active property and casualty insurance license along with previous experience managing commercial lines accounts. In business since 1850, our family agency specializes in coastal insurance. We have a fun team with a small-business style family environment. Responsibilities Provide outstanding service to existing clients related to updating policies, providing quotes, managing renewals, issuing certificates, taking payments, handling audits, answering questions, providing documentation. Work with new clients or support a producer in an effort to understand their needs, gather necessary data, research policy options, present options, finalize and bind new coverage, cancel old policies, and negotiate with carriers when necessary. Review existing policies, review liability limits and exposures, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals. Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution. Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier. Document records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system. Minimize Errors & Omissions exposure to the agency. Collaborate with team members. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years experience managing commercial accounts preferred. Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and manage assigned clients and prospects. Demonstrate strong customer focus. Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills. Possess a solid understanding of Errors & Omissions and ways to minimize risk to the agency. Demonstrate the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision. Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset Demonstrate proficiency with technology and computers, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
