Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and analytical professional to join our team as an Underwriter. No prior insurance or underwriting experience is required. We will train the right candidate! This is an in-office role in a structured, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with documentation and deadlines, and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should be flexible and open to opportunities in other departments if, during the interview process, we determine their skills may be a stronger fit for a different role within the company. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate trucking insurance submissions, applications, and supporting documentation. Assess risk factors and determine eligibility for coverage based on company guidelines. Analyze driver histories, vehicle information, loss runs, and operational details. Prepare and issue insurance quotes with the team. Communicate with agents, brokers, and clients regarding underwriting requirements and policy information. Maintain accurate and organized underwriting files and documentation. Assist with policy renewals, changes, and account servicing. Work collaboratively with other departments including claims, accounting, and customer service. Help ensure underwriting decisions align with company standards and profitability goals. Stay informed on company procedures, compliance requirements, and industry changes. Qualifications Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and receive coaching. Energetic, enthusiastic, and team-focused demeanor. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional phone etiquette and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education High school diploma or equivalent Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6/7PM Anticipate that the workdays will end anytime between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM Occasional overtime Expected hours: 45 per week

Up to $28.00 per hour
