1st Shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: The Associate Broker supports lead brokers on existing accounts while also developing producer-level technical expertise on their own book. This role serves as an intermediary between agents and insurance carriers, contributing to business development, coverage placement, and client servicing. The core function of this role centers on learning deal execution, building relationships, and progressively taking on greater ownership of market strategy and account outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with submission strategy, carrier placement, and preparation of submissions and quotes Support marketing and brokering activities by identifying appropriate coverage solutions through accessible markets Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, structures, and policy provisions Develop and maintain relationships with agents, clients, and market partners while serving as a secondary point of contact Support production goals by promoting new and renewal business and contributing to growth initiatives Manage assigned accounts or portions of accounts, including monitoring for compliance with company policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation preferred Early-career experience within wholesale insurance or related environment Experience expectations increase across the career path, with progression toward independent production and deal ownership
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current state-specific insurance license required. Ongoing development of industry knowledge and professional designations is encouraged as part of career progression.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Foundational understanding of insurance products, markets, and underwriting considerations Ability to analyze policy components and evaluate coverage options Relationship-building and communication skills with agents and carriers Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities Interest in business development, sales strategy, and market positioning Ability to learn quickly and apply industry knowledge to support deal execution The annual base salary for this position is $64,000 - $80,000.
