Job Description
Job Description This is a frontline leadership role responsible for driving underwriting strategy, execution, and performance across multiple lending channels. As channel volume grows and the business continues expanding into Non-QM and new product offerings, this leader will bring fresh perspective, modernize processes, and introduce scalable solutions across underwriting operations. This role is highly visible and directly influences credit quality, operational efficiency, and customer experience across Correspondent (Wholesale) and Retail lending. - 8+ years leading underwriting teams, including senior leadership responsibility
- Strong experience in Correspondent / Wholesale and/or Retail lending
- Proven ability to manage large-scale operations (high volume, multi-team environments)
- Deep understanding of agency + non-agency guidelines and regulatory environment
- Experience with Encompass (or similar LOS), AUS, and mortgage banking systems
- Direct Endorsement (DE) or Staff Appraisal Reviewer (SAR) designation required
- Bachelor's degree required
