Job Description

at Central Illinois Mutual Insurance in Villa Grove, Illinois, United States Job Description Provides administrative and technical support to the underwriters and underwriting manager. Primarily responsible for overseeing the daily activities associated with the inspection program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Use field inspections and self-inspection tools to evaluate new business applications and renewal applications. Will evaluate risks within his/her authority and submit other risks for review to the underwriter or underwriting manager. Collects necessary information from internal and external resources to process new business submissions and renewal policies. Accurately enter policy information into underwriting system and maintain electronic records. Review applications for completeness and accuracy, performing initial analysis, and flagging discrepancies or complex issues for the underwriter's attention. Process cancellation requests and endorsement requests within authority level. Provide assistance to agents on underwriting rules, insurance to value calculations, and use of the automated rater.
