Production Underwriter/Broker Jobs in Covington,LA,US

We are seeking an experienced insurance professional with a background in Property & Casualty and Excess & Surplus lines to join a growing team-focused environment. This role will work closely with independent retail agencies to develop new business opportunities, evaluate risks, and place coverage with carrier partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with retail insurance agents and carrier partners Review submissions, analyze exposures, and develop coverage solutions for clients Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage options with markets and underwriting partners Manage new and renewal business while ensuring excellent customer service Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to expand business production Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in wholesale brokerage, MGA, or carrier underwriting Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance products and E&S markets Sales-oriented mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills Active P&C license required; E&S license is a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
