Company Profile:
Reliance Financial is a privately held finance company dedicated to providing working capital funding solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. The company operates across three core departments: Underwriting, Operations, and Servicing. The Underwriting team plays a critical role in evaluating new deal submissions sourced through a network of Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs). This team is responsible for assessing corporate creditworthiness, conducting detailed bank statement analyses, and reviewing financial statements and tax returns to make informed funding decisions. By balancing risk management with business growth, the Underwriting team ensures that Reliance delivers tailored financial solutions that meet the needs of its clients.Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze application data including financial statements, bank statements, credit card statements, AR aging reports, business/personal credit & due diligence platforms.
- Work with management to development and maintain credit policy and underwriting policy & procedures.
- Maintain working relationships with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) and other lead generation sources.
- Perform accurate analysis of any applicant file with any degree of difficulty and effectively transmit underwriting decisions to relationship managers both orally and in writing.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related relevant field preferred but not required.
- At least 0-2 years of experience in underwriting merchant cash advance, revenue based financing, or other commercial finance underwriting
- Have an aptitude for problem-solving possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data interpretation are a must; familiarity with Adobe and CRM platforms would be a plus.
- Has commitment to integrity, excellence, accountability, customer service, and teamwork.

- Can multitask at a very high level and maintain multiple deadlines.
