Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive In-House Underwriter to serve as the central point of contact between our sales team, clients, and PEO partners. This mission-critical role ensures that client submissions are accurate, complete, and ready for PEO evaluation, resulting in timely, actionable quotes. You'll have the autonomy to drive deals from initial document review to final analysis, directly impacting client satisfaction and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between sales representatives, clients, and PEOs. Review and analyze client-submitted documents, identifying missing or incorrect information. Collect necessary information from clients to complete a full submission package for PEOs. Ensure submissions are thorough so PEOs do not request additional data. Manage incoming quotes from PEOs and build analyses using internal tools to prepare for client presentations. Maintain and update Salesforce with all relevant deal activity. Respond to client inquiries professionally and in a timely manner. Support additional administrative tasks as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in underwriting, benefits administration, HR, or related fields. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and vendors effectively. Analytical mindset to evaluate complex documents and extract actionable insights. Comfortable using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, Excel, and internal analysis tools. Knowledge of HR compliance, payroll, or PEO processes is a plus.
