Full Job Description Overview:
This underwriting role supports national payroll agencies and digital distribution partners within a rapidly growing division of AmTrust, offering meaningful opportunities for career advancement. The position emphasizes exceptional customer service, including quick and accurate submission review in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Multi-line underwriting of BOP, Workers' Compensation, Cyber and EPL new business opportunities. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently with minimal oversight while also collaborating effectively within a team and assisting colleagues as needed.
Responsibilities:
Underwrite new business insurance policies through solid risk analysis, pricing and servicing. Adheres to corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines. Operates within written authority grant and makes referrals to management as required. Provides professional, timely and courteous communication and service to external clients and cross departmental staff. Provides the pertinent information and guidance to support staff required to process coverage requests in accordance with service guidelines. Understanding and adherence to organizational and regulatory rules, and ability to adhere to underwriting authority. Provides technical assistance to sales team and customers regarding policy and endorsement provisions and underwriting acceptability for designated insurance coverages. Maintain strong industry knowledge on BOP or Package and WC underwriting expertise and changes in market/account positions. Develop and maintain full knowledge of all forms, coverages, ratings, and manuals for the specific line being underwritten. Knowledge and experience underwriting BOP or Package is required. Travel to agency offices for onsite underwriting 15
Qualifications:
Required:
At least 2+ years' experience Commercial Multi-line Underwriting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Bachelor's degree or equivalent underwriting experience
Preferred:
CPCU, ASLI or CIC designation preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience Background in Workers' Compensation, BOP, Cyber, EPL The expected salary range for this role is $52,000-70,000k annual Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
