Credit Underwriter Analyst II

- Full-time As a Credit Analyst in the Underwriting function within the Credit Department, you will conduct detailed research on the financial history of businesses (B2B) and individuals (B2C) to determine their creditworthiness by reviewing credit reports, tax returns, and other financial documents to provide a credit recommendation within the timelines set forth in the credit policy.
- Comply with Corporate Credit & Collections Policy
- Responsible for underwriting/reviewing accounts on individuals and businesses by conducting a thorough investigation
- Confirm legal business name on credit application by verifying with Secretary of State
- Review customers website to determine information provided on credit application is accurate
- Review Carson documents/contracts to ensure no alterations have been made
- Work closely with sales team on recommendations/needs of customer
- Provide decision within authorized limit
- Provide recommendation for credit lines over authorized limit
- Perform annual review as set forth in credit policy
- Discuss risky accounts with Manager
- Accountable for Fresh Service (ticketing system) ensuring timelines are met as set forth in credit policy
- Provide critical feedback on accounts
- Mail welcome letters & adverse action letters (as required)
- Serves as first line of defense against fraudulent applications
- Various projects and tasks as assigned by Manager
- Serve as a primary or secondary backup for other members of the Credit department
- Maintain a team environment with other employees and departments. Qualifications
- Proven work experience in similar role (minimum 3 years' experience)
- NACM designation desired but not required
- Proficient with 10-key, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with multiline phone system a plus
- Professional appearance
- Solid communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Punctuality is essential
- High School diploma Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Interact with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices.
- Move about the facility to access file cabinets, documents, office machinery, and other equipment.
- Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than 25 (25) pounds.
- Data entry while seated for greater than one-half (1/2) hour. Employee Notes
