• Construction Casualty 132024 Zurich is currently seeking an Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director
• Construction Casualty to join our Midwest Team in one of the following locations: Ohio, Indiana or Michigan.

While this position is remote, you must reside in Ohio, Indiana or Michigan to apply. As a Construction Casualty Underwriter, you will handle complex new and renewal accounts across Auto, GL, and Worker's Compensation. As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills while building relationships with our Preferred Distribution Partners in Ohio. The Construction Casualty Underwriter is responsible for: + Serving as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience by understanding their risk and offering the best end to end solution for their insurance needs. + Using a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing + Using risk insights, data and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale + Market facing and production within the growing Construction division + Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules + Working within broad limits and authority on complex assignments This role will be filled at either the Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director

Construction Casualty Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.

OR + High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaAND + Experience with Microsoft Office OR AVP, Underwriting Director•

Construction Casualty Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Banking, Mortgage, Finance or ConstructionOR + High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Banking, Mortgage, Finance, ConstructionOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaAND + Experience with

Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree + Advanced knowledge and practice of line/s of business + Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines + Ability to effectively assess risk + Ability to work in a team-based environment Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The combined salary range for this position is $98,500.00

• $215,000.00. The proposed salary range for theExecutive Underwriteris $98,500.00
• $165,000.00, with Global Specialty Incentive Plan bonus eligibility set at 30%. The proposed salary range for theAVP
• Underwriting Directoris $130,000.00
