Nonprofit Underwriting Specialist We're currently partnering with a growing, well-backed insurance platform that is continuing to invest heavily in its specialty commercial lines business.

We're currently partnering with a growing, well-backed insurance platform that is continuing to invest heavily in its specialty commercial lines business.

They are looking to add an Underwriting Specialist to their team, focused on nonprofit, human services, and education risks.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing and growing a book of commercial lines business (new business + renewals)
  • Evaluating risk, pricing coverage, and making underwriting decisions
  • Handling endorsements, negotiations, and coverage structuring
  • Building and maintaining strong agency / broker relationships
  • Partnering internally with underwriting support and cross-functional teams
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment and sharing technical knowledgeWhat they're looking for
  • ~5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience
  • Experience handling complex or specialty accounts (not purely small business)
  • Exposure to both new business production and renewals
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with brokers
Preferred:
  • Background in nonprofit, human services, or education risks
  • Or underwriting experience in adjacent areas such as:
  • public entity / municipalities
  • management liability
