Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to negotiate coverage terms that balance risk mitigation with customer needs. Utilize advanced financial software and data collection tools to perform quantitative research, financial modeling, and forecasting. Prepare detailed reports on underwriting decisions, risk assessments, and policy recommendations for management review. Monitor ongoing claims activity and adjust underwriting strategies accordingly to prevent fraud and detect potential risks early. Skills Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to foster positive relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, credit analysis, and financial report writing. Deep understanding of underwriting principles specific to workers compensation insurance along with risk analysis techniques. Expertise in data collection methods, quantitative research, and the use of financial software for modeling and analysis. Knowledge of accounting practices, banking operations, and portfolio management principles relevant to insurance underwriting. Ability to perform technical accounting tasks related to insurance policies and claims processing.
