Responsibilities Based in Bakersfield, California, the Portfolio Manager (PM) will report to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and will play a vital role in our investment process and the ongoing management of our client portfolios.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with CIO and other members of the investment team in ongoing research and diligence for portfolio investment decisions, manager selection, and other investment related projects.
- Build and maintain model portfolios from approved manager/security lists.
- Analyze key risks in portfolios and provide recommendations on portfolio modifications.
- Lead portfolio implementation and trade management within client portfolios to ensure compliance with IPS and models.
- Develop investment policy statements (IPS) and monitor current IPS for necessary adjustments.
- Assist with research on client financial situations to provide guidance and solutions towards a resolution of the goals/objectives of each unique scenario.
- Work with our Director of Operations and other team members on investment-related operational workflows to drive efficiencies throughout the client service and reporting functions. Qualifications

- Candidates should possess at least five years of investment or wealth management experience and previous experience at a family office, multi-family office, or wealth management firm is preferred.
- Candidates must have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including an ability to connect with a wide range of personalities.
- Candidates must have excellent written, verbal, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Candidates must be proficient in the use of Excel.
- Candidates with or working towards a master's degree, CFA, CFP, or other credentials are preferred.
