Job Description We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead the governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology asset data across the organization. This role will be responsible for managing hardware asset lifecycle data and ensuring high-quality asset intelligence within platforms such as ServiceNow AMDB/CMDB and Flexera. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in IT asset management best practices, data governance, technology lifecycle tracking, and integration of manufacturer data sources (such as Dell and Cisco) to enhance visibility into asset attributes including warranty status, end-of-life (EOL), and end-of-support (EOS). This individual will work closely with infrastructure leaders, engineering teams, and service owners to establish sustainable processes for managing annual tech debt refresh planning, improving data quality, and enabling better investment decisions using trusted data from ServiceNow and related systems. Responsibilities IT Asset & Lifecycle Management Own and manage the lifecycle governance of enterprise IT infrastructure assets, including servers, network equipment, storage, and related technology components. Maintain accurate and actionable asset records within ServiceNow AMDB/CMDB and Flexera, ensuring alignment between procurement, deployment, support, refresh, and retirement data. Develop and maintain processes to track technology lifecycle milestones, including end of warranty, end of life, end of support, and refresh timelines. Enable improved visibility into technology debt exposure and expiration risks across the infrastructure environment. Data Governance & Best Practices Establish and enforce data governance standards, policies, and best practices for IT asset and configuration data. Drive continuous improvement in the quality, completeness, consistency, and relevance of asset records across IT systems. Define required asset attributes, data ownership, validation rules, reconciliation practices, and exception management procedures. Partner with stakeholders to standardize naming conventions, classification models, and lifecycle statuses to improve reporting and decision-making. System Integration & Data Enrichment Lead or support implementation and optimization of connectors/integrations between ServiceNow, Flexera, and manufacturer/vendor sources such as Dell, Cisco, and other OEM platforms. Ensure external asset intelligence is imported and maintained to enrich internal records with relevant lifecycle data, including: Warranty dates, End-of-life / end-of-support milestones, Model and product family details, and Serial number-based support metadata. Collaborate with platform and technical teams to improve automated data ingestion, normalization, and reconciliation processes. Tech Debt & Refresh Planning Partner with infrastructure tower leads and domain leaders to define and implement best practices for managing the annual technology debt refresh cycle. Use ServiceNow and related asset data to support refresh planning, prioritization, forecasting, and lifecycle-based investment decisions. Provide insights and reporting that help identify aging assets, unsupported technologies, and refresh risks across the enterprise. Support planning cycles by ensuring asset data can be confidently used for budgeting, roadmap development, and risk reduction initiatives. Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analysis to provide visibility into asset health, lifecycle status, compliance, and tech debt risk. Monitor data quality trends and proactively identify opportunities to improve the relevance and usefulness of IT asset data. Serve as a trusted partner to IT leadership by translating asset data into actionable recommendations for operational and strategic planning. Continuously evaluate and optimize ITAM processes, controls, and tool capabilities to improve overall maturity of asset management within IT. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or related IT operations/governance roles. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow AMDB and CMDB. Experience with Flexera for IT asset discovery, lifecycle management, or technology intelligence. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure asset types, lifecycle management, and enterprise refresh planning processes. Experience establishing or improving data governance practices for asset and configuration data. Experience implementing or managing data connectors/integrations with manufacturer or vendor sources such as Dell, Cisco, or similar platforms. Strong analytical skills with ability to assess data quality, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with infrastructure teams, service owners, procurement, and IT leadership. Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise environments supporting infrastructure domains such as network, server, storage, and end-user compute. Familiarity with technology lifecycle / tech debt management practices and annual refresh planning. Experience with discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and CMDB health improvement initiatives. Knowledge of ITIL, ITAM, HAM, or CMDB governance best practices. Experience building dashboards and reporting for leadership decision-making.
Relevant certifications such as:
Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP), ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or related ServiceNow certifications, or Flexera-related certifications or training.
