Full Job Description Primary Responsibilities:
The Product Structuring and Performance Analytics role is responsible for structuring, implementing and maintaining Crestline's product suite. In addition, they are accountable for Fund level performance analytics and modeling to facilitate informed analysis of new and existing products. This function is a key component to driving Crestline's growth by allowing the firm to meet clients "where they are at" from a structuring perspective. Reporting to the Co-Head of Crestline's Client Partnership Group, this person will also manage two current team members.
Key Areas Of Focus:
Product Launch and Maintenance Project manage the launch of Crestline funds and solutions across all client channels Lead the structuring, documentation of investment terms and mechanics and financial modelling of new and existing funds Identify trends and opportunities for product development, aligning strategies to meet business goals and market needs Serve as subject matter expert of fund commercial terms and mechanics (liquidity, fee mechanics, etc.) Maintain technical expertise and understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks Collaborate with Investment Team, Product Specialists, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Operations, as well as external legal counsel, fund administrators, service providers and investors to facilitate productive coordination across stakeholders and drive solutions Develop knowledge and understanding of our product landscape, competitor offerings and client needs Support product level modifications and activities such as investment and harvest period extensions
Product & Performance Analytics Performance Reporting:
Calculate Fund and Feeder performance for all CL products including Gross & Net IRR, benefits and costs of leverage and expense drivers Calculate quarterly, inception to date and ad-hoc period Fund level attribution Complete recurring, client-specific performance reporting to assist Product Specialists in compiling quarterly performance data for investor reporting Lead financial modeling of all prospective Crestline products to facilitate informed decision making on fee structures, discounts etc. Maintain strategy and sector level track records that are integral building blocks of new product development
External Database Maintenance:
Provide accurate reporting to various databases (e.g., Pitchbook, eVestment, etc.)
CRM System Maintenance :
Update and maintain Fund and LP specific performance information in Backstop (CRM system) Qualifications At least 12 years of relevant experience at a leading asset manager, bank or other financial institution with a focus on private markets Strong understanding of private Fund structure mechanics, with previous experience tailoring solutions for either insurance or wealth investors preferred Strong understanding on portfolio performance mechanics and calculations Willingness and ability to work both on strategic, tactical and detailed projects and regular deliverables Experience in project managing and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives Proven problem solver and internal collaborator Prior evidence of learning and applying new subject matter Advanced Excel skills CFA or other equivalent qualification preferred Clear communicator, both verbally and written for both internal and external audiences or stakeholders
