Job Description
DescriptionThe Amazon Ads Marketing team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own Digital Asset Management (DAM) capabilities supporting content creation, governance, and omnichannel distribution. This role will drive implementation of our enterprise DAM solution, establishing foundational capabilities for how Amazon Ads creates, manages, and delivers digital content across our scaled channels and programs. Basic Qualifications
Program Ownership:
Own the DAM/AEM Assets program roadmap and execution; lead DAM implementations, migrations, and enhancements; coordinate delivery across creative, channel, product, engineering, science, and localization teamsAsset Lifecycle & Governance:
Define and implement asset taxonomy, metadata schemas, and tagging strategies; establish asset governance, permissions, rights management, and retention policies; enable workflows for asset creation, review, approval, and publishingTechnical & Platform Leadership:
Partner with architects on DAM architecture and integrations (Workfront, Figma, Bynder, Salesforce); oversee asset ingestion, renditions, dynamic media, and automation workflows; manage platform upgrades, performance, and scalability for large asset librariesStakeholder & Change Management:
Act as primary point of contact between marketing stakeholders and technical teams; identify risks related to asset sprawl, compliance, and content reuse; drive adoption through training, documentation, and change management
Operational Excellence:
Define success metrics such as asset reuse, searchability, ingestion speed, and compliance; establish DAM operating models and support processes About the team The Website Experiences team sits within the Amazon Ads Marketing, responsible for the strategy and execution of ads.amazon.com and ads.amazon.com/academy. Our team manages content strategy, platform experiences, and technical operations supporting global advertising initiatives. We work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards and driving innovation in content delivery.Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience leading process improvements or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience with Adobe CQ5/ AEM, Omniture/Sitecatalyst, Adobe Connect, HTML and CSS Coding
