  • Full-time Job description Communicates with consumer loan applicants (auto, personal, visa) to elicit information, investigate member applicants' background and verify references; help prepare loan request documents; forward the results of credit investigation and member interview, reports, and documents for underwriter's decision.
Review loan papers to ensure completeness, and complete transactions between Credit Union and member borrowers. Endeavor to cross-sell Clearpath products and services. Provide excellent member service to Clearpath members. Maintain and project Clearpath professional reputation and image. Knowledge and Skill Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Duties require professional oral and written communication Possess an ability to interact effectively with Clearpath members, co-workers, and management in a timely and professional manner Basic reading and above-average arithmetic skills Computer literate, with the ability to learn customer service software applications Requires the ability to read, speak, and write English fluently Knowledge of all Clearpath Loan and Deposit programs offered Physical/Mental Requirements Possess an aptitude to handle stressful situations Capable of performing simple/complex tasks, while maintaining good attention to detail Ability to comprehend/follow instructions, given both verbally and orally Ability to maintain an appropriate clean and organized work space Repetitive hand/finger action Capacity to prioritize work load and is multi-tasked oriented Endurance for sitting and or standing for long periods of time Normal vision and hearing Capable of operating various electrical office equipment Must present a professional appearance Job requires some sedentary work, consisting of occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds Essential Job Functions
  • Obtain full completed and accurate applications via mail, Internet, fax, telephone, and/or walk-in traffic with adequate documentation as required by policy/procedures and underwriter (for consumer auto, personal and visa requests) Responsible for quoting Consumer Loan rates and terms, disclosures, and answer other member questions as necessary Interview applicant(s) to obtain personal and financial data, calculate income and ratios as required Knowledgeable and comprehends/communicates to member in a friendly manner the laws, rules and regulations of credit granting criteria Answer member questions and concerns Cross-sell other Clearpath products and services Input loan applications into system and run credit reports as required Confer with applicant regarding credit-report content, verify financial history, and make inquiries as needed Submit loan application with recommendation for underwriting approval Communicate with members during the loan process: relay the underwriter's decisions, obtain documentation from the member as required, and have documents signed as needed Fund loans and disburse funds per underwriter's decision Perform all duties above in a timely and thorough manner with minimal errors Perform clerical tasks such as order supplies, answer phone inquiries and handle member service overflow.
Post member transactions, monitor email at least once per business day Other duties as assigned
