What We Do Heritage Escrow at First American is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Escrow Officer (Floater) to provide coverage and support for our Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, and Escondido branch locations. This role is responsible for handling real estate transactions from open to close while ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with company policies, and risk mitigation throughout the escrow process. Responsibilities Open and manage escrow accounts for residential real estate transactions Prepare and process escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties to ensure smooth and timely closings Manage escrow funds and disbursements accurately and securely Review files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance requirements Act as a neutral liaison between all parties involved in the transaction Resolve issues and provide proactive communication throughout the escrow process Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service Provide floating escrow coverage and operational support across Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, and Escondido offices Qualifications Previous Escrow Officer experience required Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, title processes, and real estate transactions Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Proficient in escrow software systems and Microsoft Office applications California notary preferred
Pay Range:
$26.88 - $35.83 Hourly This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. •Note that the following statements only apply to candidates who will be working from an unincorporated area within Los Angeles County. •First American will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws (e.g., the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act).
