Vice President, Senior Loan Administrator Commercial Real Estate (CRE) & Syndicated Lending Position Summary The Vice President, Senior Loan Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of loan administration for a portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE), commercial and industrial (C&I), and syndicated loan transactions. This leadership role ensures accurate loan booking, servicing, documentation compliance, collateral management, covenant monitoring, and operational risk controls while supporting the Bank's lending growth objectives. The VP, Senior Loan Administrator serves as a key liaison among Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Legal Counsel, Loan Operations, Treasury, and external lending participants to ensure efficient execution and ongoing administration of complex credit facilities. The position plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and portfolio integrity. Key Responsibilities Loan Administration & Portfolio Management Oversee the administration and servicing of complex CRE, construction, bridge, owner-occupied, and syndicated loan portfolios. Manage loan boarding, funding, modifications, renewals, extensions, payoffs, and maintenance activities. Ensure all loan transactions are accurately processed in accordance with approved credit terms and bank policies. Review and approve loan documentation prior to booking and funding. Monitor loan maturities, covenant compliance, borrowing base reporting, insurance requirements, and collateral exceptions. Coordinate funding activities and ongoing servicing for multi-bank syndicated and participated loan transactions. Syndicated Loan Administration Serve as primary operational contact for agented and participated loan facilities. Review participation agreements, agency agreements, and intercreditor arrangements. Coordinate participant funding requests, interest distributions, principal payments, fee allocations, and reporting. Ensure compliance with syndicated loan agreements and communication requirements among participating institutions. Monitor covenant compliance and reporting obligations for syndicated borrowers. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and lending procedures. Maintain strong internal controls related to loan servicing, collateral perfection, documentation tracking, and exception management. Partner with Credit Administration and Risk Management to identify and mitigate operational and credit-related risks. Support internal audits, external audits, regulatory examinations, and loan review processes. Monitor documentation exceptions and ensure timely resolution. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of loan administration and loan operations professionals. Establish performance standards and operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assist with staffing, training, workflow management, and succession planning. Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives Identify opportunities to enhance loan administration workflows and operational controls. Participate in system implementations, process automation initiatives, and technology enhancements. Collaborate with executive management to support strategic growth initiatives in CRE and syndicated lending. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and operational best practices. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial loan administration, loan operations, credit administration, or commercial banking. Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience. Extensive experience with Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending, construction lending, and syndicated loan administration. Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral perfection, and regulatory requirements. Technical Knowledge Thorough understanding of commercial lending structures, loan servicing, and credit administration practices. Experience administering syndicated and participated loan facilities. Knowledge of regulatory guidance related to commercial lending and bank operations. Proficiency with core banking and loan servicing systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and risk awareness. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong relationship-building and leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a business bank, regional bank, or middle-market commercial bank. Knowledge of agency loan administration and complex syndicated credit structures. Experience supporting portfolios exceeding $1 billion in commercial loan commitments. MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant banking certifications preferred
