The Portfolio Manager supports the respective Commercial Banking Office. The Portfolio Manager partners with the Relationship Managers to manage the loan application process and is primarily responsible for the credit analysis, underwriting, documentation and loan closing process for prospects and clients to which they are assigned. The Portfolio Manager may be asked to perform senior credit analyst responsibilities in support of the Commercial Banking Officer's overall needs. The Portfolio Manager is also responsible for ensuring their assigned loan portfolio is properly risk graded, in compliance with loan agreements/approvals and potential risks are identified and addressed. The Portfolio Manager will partner with the Regional Manager to provide quality service to clients by directing and assisting with needs and inquiries by phone/in person/email. Gathers information for new loan requests, coordinates with Credit Analysts on loan package preparation and proposals, works with credit administration to properly document loans and closes loans with borrowers when needed. Has an understanding of loan types appropriate to this level, and other related requirements, and can independently work to meet those requirements with some assistance from the Group Manager, other Portfolio Managers and the Regional Manager. Monitors current loan portfolio to identify risks and maintain up to date loan files. Has knowledge of all deposit and Treasury Services products, as well as all other services offered to commercial clients. Works under moderate supervision while supporting the Commercial Banking Office.
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Working knowledge of accounting, financial accounting, and credit analysis. Ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting established deadlines. Proficient typing and computer skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office Tools, and the Bank's current software system. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Motivated individual with the ability to work independently. Ability to work well with customers and co-workers. Ability to analyze and resolve issues making sound judgments. Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate detailed and complex loan documents. Thorough understanding and familiarity of the bank's loan policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of regulatory and legal issues encountered in the completion and closing of complex personal and commercial loans. Professional /
Educational Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and minimum 2 - 4 year's relevant banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The hiring pay range for this position is $83,524 to $112,758. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
