Job Description

YVB is seeking a Loan Administrator who will be responsible for processing loan documents for new and existing loan relationships, booking loans, and handling internal auditing and reconciliation tasks. $21.00 per hour , depending on experience. Eligible for Annual Discretionary Bonus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and acknowledge all customers in the loan area. Direct traffic and announce customers to officers. Answer telephone calls within two rings, transferring or servicing the customer if possible. When answering the telephone, speak with a smile identifying the bank and yourself. Promote all products of the bank. Must be knowledgeable and up to date with products and service fees. Assist customers with other service functions such as closing or paying off loans, research, copies etc. Assist Loan Officer in contacting customers in preparation of loan renewals with financial information needed to renew loans; other customer contact as required. Produce loan documents for Loan Officers verifying accuracy and noting any discrepancies. Provide/research loan documents as requested for flood certification, credit reporting, UCC lien searches, etc. Book closed loans on software system, running the appropriate entries to the correct line items. Assist with loan payments, payoffs, draws, transfers, collateral documentation, customer inquiries and closings as necessary.
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. At least one year of experience in a professional environment required; experience in a lending environment preferred. Computer skills including sufficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and/or the ability to quickly learn these and other proprietary or bank-specific programs and models. Basic knowledge of accounting principles such as debiting and crediting. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent records and file management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to quickly address and resolve problems and meet sudden deadlines. Ability to make decisions and recommendations (within incumbent's level of authority) on difficult and important issues affecting individual loan transactions. Possesses ability to produce and organize written documents with minimal supervision or review.
