Job Description:
This is a banking position This candidate will drive commercial loan and deposit growth throughout the South Florida market. They will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing commercial lending opportunities, and delivering customized banking solutions to middle-market and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial banking background, proven business development success, and experience operating within a credit-driven banking environment. This role is heavily focused on relationship acquisition and portfolio growth, making it an excellent opportunity for a banker with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong local market presence. Only local South Florida candidates with established market ties and business development experience will be considered. Job Requirements Develop and expand commercial banking relationships through proactive business development efforts within the local South Florida market. Generate commercial loan and deposit growth through relationship acquisition, referrals, networking, and community involvement. Promote and cross-sell commercial banking products and services, including commercial loans, treasury management, deposits, and other banking solutions. Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral structures, and borrowing requests to structure appropriate credit solutions for clients. Prepare, structure, and present commercial lending opportunities and credit recommendations to Credit Committee for approval. Operate within a highly credit-focused commercial banking environment while maintaining strong portfolio quality and risk management standards. Manage and deepen existing client relationships while identifying opportunities to increase share of wallet and overall profitability. Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive banking products within the South Florida market. Partner closely with Credit, Treasury, Operations, and Risk teams to ensure smooth deal execution and ongoing portfolio management. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, credit procedures, BSA/AML requirements, and regulatory standards. Represent the Bank within the local business community, professional associations, and networking organizations to support market visibility and relationship growth. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field required. Minimum 5 years of commercial banking experience within the South Florida market required. Strong commercial lending, relationship management, and business development experience required. Formal credit training strongly preferred; however, candidates who developed strong credit skills organically within a banking environment will also be considered. Experience presenting commercial lending opportunities to Credit Committee required. Proven ability to independently source, develop, and grow commercial banking relationships. Demonstrated success operating within a credit-driven commercial banking environment. Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and commercial credit structuring. Production-oriented mindset with the ability to meet annual growth expectations of approximately $26MM in loans and $9MM in deposits. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
